Wilmer is 30 years old, single, and resides in Catamayo with his relatives.

The land where he carries out his crops belongs to his relatives, who have made it available to him so that he can undertake his activity independently. Wilmer began his productive activity approximately six years ago. From an early age, he showed an interest in agriculture, learning alongside his parents, who taught him how to work the land and be self-reliant. Thanks to this knowledge and his perseverance, his relatives granted him the use of part of their land to begin his crops. He started with small plots of sugarcane and lemons and, over time, managed to expand his production to reach two hectares of sugarcane and one hectare of lemons, with plans to incorporate new crops in the future.

The monthly profit generated from his agricultural activity and the rearing of hens amounts to approximately £680. In addition, Wilmer works as a driver for the Provincial Government of Loja, earning a monthly salary of around £660, which strengthens the economic stability of his household.

Among Wilmer’s main achievements is the sustained growth of his agricultural activity, progressing from small plots to hectare-scale cultivation, as well as the diversification of his production. Thanks to the income obtained, he has been able to provide financial support to his mother and siblings, contributing to the reconstruction of the family home and household expenses.

Nevertheless, Wilmer faces challenges related to price fluctuations at local markets and the presence of pests; factors that affect income stability and limit his capacity for expansion.

Through the requested loan, Wilmer seeks to strengthen his crops, improve the productivity of sugarcane and lemons, and initiate the cultivation of new agricultural products, thereby consolidating his microenterprise and his economic independence.
