Jonas Ezemah is 36. He lives in Gbagbokome, in Atakpamé, with his wife and their newborn baby, who is just 30 days old. His wife is a works as hairdresser. Jonas is originally from Nigeria, where he used to work selling rice, wheat, and other grains, but for the last 7 years he has run a small shop, 'Petit Modern', selling motorbike parts near a local service station in the district of Djama. As well as spare parts, he also sells wheels which he imports from Nigeria. For urgent orders, he sometime gets supplies from Lomé, the capital of Togo. His clientele are mainly the drivers of moto-taxis known as 'zemidjan', which are common in Benin and Togo. This will be Jonas’ first loan with the microfinance institution WAGES. He is requesting 900 000 West African francs, repayable over 12 months, which will help him to expand his business. Jonas’ long-term plan is to open up more shops, to help him achieve his goal of financial independence.

Jonas est revendeur de pièces détachées moto. Le commerce se déroule dans sa boutique dénommée PETIT MODERN sis au quartier DJAMA près de la station service MRS. Il y vend essentiellement des pièces de moteur et de roues qu’il importe du NIGERIA. Pour des commandes urgentes, il s’approvisionne quelques fois à Lomé. Sa clientèle cible est essentiellement constituée de conducteurs de moto-taxis communément appelés « ZEMIDJAN ». Il a démarré cette activité, il y a de cela 7 ans. Avant cela, il était revendeur de céréales au Nigéria, son pays de provenance. Jonas est un nouveau client que WAGES a bien voulu accompagner dans le développement de ses activités. Il sollicite pour son 1er crédit, la somme de 900 000FCFA qu’il envisage rembourser en 12 mensualités. Ses perspectives d’avenir pour son activité est de créer d’autres points de vente afin d’atteindre une autosuffisance financière.
