Azuma Evelyn is 30 years old. She has been working as a fabric seller for over four years. Single and without children, she is solely responsible for her own expenses. Before applying for the the group loan, Evelyn lacked the means to buy enough goods to fully satisfy her customers. However, thanks to her share of the financing, she will be able to buy more fabrics for resale, increase her stock and better meet the needs of her customers. Her long-term goal is to open a shop, and she plans to save and reinvest the rest of the profits in her business to gradually develop it.
The other members of this group see the loan as an opportunity to increase their income and improve the profitability of their commercial activities. They will use their shares of the loan to purchase additional goods such as cloth, shoes and food products, strengthen their stocks and diversify their products.
