Zenaida is 43 years old and married. She has three children; the eldest is married, and the other two are at the college level. Zenaida lives with her family in the Province of Tabuelan, Cebu.
Zenaida has been running a swine business. Her husband is a construction worker earning £130 monthly and also assists her in producing cash to cover everyday expenditures and serves as her backup for their swine business. She previously experienced losses from her fattening operations due to the sharp decline in pig prices caused by oversupply. As part of her recovery, she plans to refinance two hog breeders, which will allow her to gradually recover and settle her outstanding balances.
As a member of our local development partner, FCCT Cooperative, for 4 years, Zenaida has requested a loan to purchase feed for her four head hog breeders. In addition, she owns four gilt breeders.
Zenaida hopes that someday, if their swine and gilt business generates a higher revenue, they will be debt-free and help her two children complete their degrees.
