Please note: due to the insecurity in the West Bank there are significant risks of delayed repayments or default on this loan. We have written a blog giving full detail of how we are working with our partner to support people's livelihoods. You can find the blog in the About Us section of the Lendwithcare website. Dalal is a 47-year-old married woman who lives in a village in the West Bank. She lives there with her husband and their five children, four of whom are in school and one is studying at the university.
Dalal has been running a grocery shop for the past two years. She sells essential household goods such as flour, sugar and legumes. She also sells drinks, cleaners, glass cups for tea and coffee mugs. She requested a loan to expand and improve her business. 80% of the loan will be used to buy stock for the store in bulk to get a discount price from the wholesaler, and 20% will be used to renovate the interior of the shop with new décor and add new shelves.
Dalal manages the shop on her own and earns a net income of about £590 each month. She hopes that the new loan will enable her to continue to support her family. The loan is repayable over 24 months.
Loan added: 21 August 2025
