The CAF Totroyéyé group is made up of 9 women who look after 20 people, including 14 schoolchildren. Their average age is 30 and they live in Lomé. They are artisans (hairdressers and dressmakers), sellers of food and beauty products, loincloths, handbags, etc.
Tessou Adjo has been selling loincloths, handbags and chains for 10 years. Aged 36, she is married to an upholsterer with whom she has children at school, and they share the household expenses. Her dream is to have a big shop selling her wares. With her share of the loan, she plans to buy a large quantity of loincloths and shoes for resale. The profits will be reinvested in her business.
The other members of the group will use the loan to buy their goods and refurbish their stalls.
