CAF SENTINEL is a group of 12 women entrepreneurs from Anomé, near Lomé, united by a shared commitment to economic empowerment. Through their businesses—selling cereals, food, clothing, shoes, and offering hairdressing services—they support 32 children, including 20 in school, and work collectively to improve their living conditions.
Madjedje, 40, is a widowed mother who has been selling cereals along the roadside in Anomé for over a decade. She bears full financial responsibility for her household, including her children's education. Limited stock restricts her sales and income, but with financing, she hopes to grow her business, retain customers, and improve her family's living conditions. Her long-term dream is to open a shop and buy land to build a home. She plans to reinvest profits and save monthly to secure a better future.
The loan requested by CAF SENTINEL will help the group buy bulk goods—cereals, clothing, household essentials, and hairdressing tools—enabling them to boost inventory, expand sales, and raise income. The support will serve as a key lever for advancing their small businesses towards sustainable economic independence.
