Madame Sossou Tchilalo, a member of the Caf Amazing Grace group, has been selling rice and porridge by the roadside for 10 years. Based in Zopomahe, just 7km from Lomé, the group is made up exclusively of 15 dynamic women entrepreneurs who sell everyday consumer goods like fabrics, rice, spices, food, and crockery.
Collectively, they support 27 dependents, including 19 children currently enrolled in school. For a long time, Madame Tchilalo had to buy her supplies on credit at unfavourable prices from a local supplier. Thanks to this loan, she will be able to purchase directly from wholesalers, significantly reducing her costs and increasing her profit margin. This represents a crucial step in securing her income and improving her living conditions. The loan will also allow the group to increase their stock of goods, make their stalls more attractive, and boost their overall economic activity.
