Attiogbe Ginette is a member of the Ruben Group, a collective of 12 women entrepreneurs based in the outskirts of Lomé. The group is active in small-scale trading, specialising in the sale of cosmetic products, hair extensions, homemade deodorants, and food items.
Ginette has been making and selling artisanal deodorants and other cosmetic products for over five years. She works closely with her clients and is directly involved in every aspect of her business. Married to a technician, she shares household responsibilities and expenses with her husband. Before accessing this loan, she lacked the financial means to produce her deodorants consistently.
Ginette and her husband aim to strengthen their economic independence, better support their children, and contribute more effectively to the household.
Thanks to this loan, Ginette will be able to purchase the raw materials needed to sustain and expand her production.
“My goal is to grow my business,” Ginette says. “When I make a profit, I will save and reinvest to expand my activity.” The group loan will allow all members of the Ruben Group to buy goods in larger quantities and improve their profitability.
