Located just 5Km from the capital city of Lomé is a collecting that call themselves Les Dynamiques, due to their high sense of dedication to their work.
There are 10 women in this group with an average age of 30, and between them they care for 15 children of whom 9 attend the local school. These women work in a diverse range of businesses including hairdressing, and retail sales of foodstuffs, maize, rice, plates, shoes and bags.
Nathalie is one member of the Les Dynamiques Women's Empowerment Collective. She is 28 years old and has been working in hairdressing and in the sales of highlights and accessories for the past five years. She is married to a maintenance worker with whom she shares the household expenses and together they have a child who is attending the local school.
Nathalie will use her portion of the loan to purchase professional hairdryers and also to purchase a wider range of hair accessories. Through this loan she will both attract more customers as well as building customer loyalty, resulting in improved income. The profits will then be used to modernise her hairdressing salon and also to pay for additional training in hairdressing which will strengthen the business.
