The Hercules Women’s Empowerment Collective is a group of courageous women who sell loincloths, food, and groceries. The collective consists of 18 members and supports 20 dependents, including 15 schoolchildren. The average age of the members is 21. They are based 5km from Lomé.
The members of the Hercules Collective would like to use this loan to increase their sales, particularly to large wholesalers, in order to meet the high demand and boost their income.
Eloh Kékéli is an experienced dressmaker and loincloth seller by trade. She has been running her own workshop for over five years. Aged 35, Kékéli is married to a driver, with whom she shares the household expenses. They have children who are all in school.
With this loan, Kékéli plans to expand her business by purchasing a variety of quality loincloths to meet her customers’ demands. The women of the Hercules Collective also intend to buy food and loincloths from large wholesalers to achieve their targets. By doing so, they hope to maximise their profits, which will be reinvested in the business and used to fund their children’s education.
