Nataly Fernanda is a young livestock farmer who lives in the city of San Gabriel, in the north of Ecuador. At 20 years old, Nataly began her journey into livestock farming and milk production two years ago.
Her entry into this business was motivated by the search for employment, and with the support of her parents, who gifted her a calf, she started raising cattle. Over the past year, Nataly has learned more about her business and now has two dairy cows and two calves, which she properly cares for and feeds.
Every morning, Nataly receives help from her mother in collecting milk from each of her cows, which is then delivered to the local milk collection centres in the parish.
To expand her livestock herd, Nataly has applied for a loan, which will be used to purchase an additional heifer. She is confident that this will help her to grow her income and plan for her future.
