La Grace Farming Cooperative, comprised of six members with an average age of 38, work as a dedicated producers of yams and cereals. Located 65 kilometres from Lomé, this cooperative not only focuses on cultivating essential crops, but also supports 18 dependants, with ten children from the community attending school.
Koli, at 45 years old member of the Cooperative, has dedicated over 25 years to the farming of yams and cereals, working diligently in the fields. Married to a fellow farmer with all 5 of her children attending school, Koli happily contributes to family expenses and tuition costs to relieve her husband of financial stress. She plans to use her portion of this loan to purchase yam seeds, aiming to yield an abundance which she can sell on and use to feed her family. With the profits she hopes to earn from this loan, she will reinvest in seeds for her farm and support her children.
Please note that repayments are scheduled from month 5 onwards during the 12-month loan term to allow their crops to grow.
