Euraclino Jr.

Mr. Euraclino Jr. is 56 years old and married to Arlene. The couple has three children. Two of his children are married now and living separately while the youngest attends 1st-year college. Since they got married 27 years ago, the couple's main source of income is from their restaurant. The income helped them to send their children to college and provide for their basic needs for their family.

The couple's first restaurant is found in the village called Balirong. It is now being managed by his married daughter so that she could earn her own income. Two years ago, the couple opened another restaurant in the village called Lutac. Euraclino rents the space used for the business for 4,000 pesos (£60.48) a month. The couple works together to cook their daily dishes to sell made out of pork, fish, chicken, vegetables, goat, and beef. Most of their customers are bus drivers, passengers, and people in and around their locality. They open their restaurant at 04:30 dawn and close at 8:00 in the evening. They employ two workers to help them in attending to customer's orders and maintain the cleanliness in the restaurant. Each worker receives a daily wage of 200 pesos (£3.02) with free meals. Their average sales per day are 8,000 pesos (£120.98).

Euraclino has accessed several loans from the MFI Lamac for the past 11 years. The previous loans have helped a lot in making their business work and deal with their personal needs. Recently, he applied for another loan that he promises to repay in six months. He will use the loan money mainly to buy the daily ingredients needed for his daily cooking, soft drinks, and other supplies needed in the restaurant. Euraclino and his wife Arlene will continue to work hard to run their cafe to keep earning an income. The couple still have their youngest daughter who needs their support to finish her schooling.
