Akram is 39 years old. He lives with his wife and their four children in a neighborhood in Gaza city.
Akram is a farmer, he grows vegetables for living. He rents his land and grows many vegetables on it such as cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes and parsley. He then sells his produce at the local market in his town. Akram has asked for loan to start a new crop cycle and also to extend his irrigation network. It will cost about 1,000 USD to extend his irrigation line and then the rest he will spend on buying seedlings and crop protection. Akram estimates that he generates 500 USD a month form selling his crops and he hopes with this investment he will be able to increase his income so he can better support his family. He plans to repay his loan in monthly instalments over 36 months.
