Thin is 56 years old and lives with her husband, two adult children, and two grandchildren. The family live in the Buriram province of Thailand and ear their living through growing jasmine rice and other local crops. Thin also spends her time take care of a small herd of cattle to earn an additional income to support the household.
Thin has strong knowledge and skills in raising cattle. To supplement the income earn through growing jasmine rice, she raises cattle and sells them directly to other farmers in her local community. She enjoys the work, but income has been low in recent months and Thin requires working capital to get back on track.
To get her cattle farming activities moving again, Thin has requested a loan to gradually increase the income she earns through raising cattle. She will use the loan to purchase two cows, cattle feed, hay bales, and construction materials to make some much-needed improvements to the cattle shed.
