Geovanny Abad is from a rural community called Entierros which is located in southeastern Ecuador.
Don Geovanny grows coffee on land that he owns. He sells the harvest to a smallholder coffee growers association which markets the produce on his behalf in a town called Palanda. Don Geovanny began farming with one hectare of coffee but he now has twice that area under cultivation. He has used part of his profits to purchase a motorcycle which enables him to reach the land quicker. Don Geovanny requested a loan to buy a coffee pulper and a water tank.
