Loan description:
Rosalina Canillo is 52 years old, married and a mother to five children. For the past 16 years, she has managed a small general store that sells mostly food items and hygienic products. Her business has provided her with a regular income and she has managed to put four of her children through college, the youngest is still in high school. She has surprised even herself that her small store has provided her family with so much. She requested a loan from the microfinance institution Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative, of which she has been a regular member for many years, to be able to purchase new stock. The loan is used as working capital and will be repayable over six months. Her aim is to ensure that her children complete their education and obtain professional jobs.
