Eve Estrellado is a 40 year old entrepreneur who manage a business selling mainly rice, corn and animal feeds in the town's public market of Toledo. She is married with two children they are 4 and 6 years old. Both of them are attending private school. Her husband is called Jonathan who is a foreman. The family lives in the place called Ibo which is in Toledo in Cebu province.
Eve Estrellado was funded once by Lendwithcare last June 2018. She invested the money to set up a general store in their house where she sells basic commodities, frozen foods and school supplies. She use to trade her stocks before in the public market of Toledo but stopped the business for she had to manage the stall where her mother used to sell things. She took over the business ownership from her mother but her mother now helps at the store that Eve set up at her house.
Eve's main products that she sells are rice, corn and animal feeds. She sells her products as wholesale and retail and has regular buyers of her products who own small stores. Her stall is open from 5:30 am in the morning and closes at 6:00 pm in the evening. The busiest days are on weekends and busiest hours are early morning and late in the afternoon. She has now hired one male to lift the heavy products and one female to attend costumers orders. Her business now has average daily sales of approximately 10,000 pesos (around £153). She buys more than 100 sacks of rice, corn and animal feed once a week to ensure she has sufficient stock for her customers. Mostly she earn 50 pesos (around £0.76) for each sack sold and earn more if she sells it in retail. To earn extra income, in front of the stall she display some bananas, lemon, squash and ginger. Having this business requires larger capital for she has to make bulk purchase and pay in cash in order to avail discounts.
Since 2017, Eve has been a member of the MFI-Lamac, wherein she has repaid ten previous loan. Her first loan to Lendwithcare was used to restock her store with volume of her products so that she can meet the rapidly increasing demand for her goods. Last 28th of January she applied again for a larger loan in order to buy a bulk purchase of rice, corn and animal feed with the hope of growing her business. She wanted to earn more income for her two children are now attending school and wanted them both to have a better school environment. She will repay her loan in 6 months equal repayments.
