Aimable

Aimable Nahimana is a 33 years old, single. He is a potato farmer. He lives with his parents and siblings and he is responsible for all the household costs. He lives with his family in the rural village in Rubavu District. The area where he lives is well known for the high quality potato crops.

Aimable started farming potatoes 10 years ago helping his parents and now he employs 10 people. Since his farmland is on the hills he needs to employ a good number of people to help him in preparing the land. His harvested potatoes are sold at the market. In the future, he would like to become a wholesale potato distributor.

Aimable is requesting a loan to buy 200 kilos of good quality potato seeds and several bags of fertilizer to get a good yield. After the investment in his farming he expects to harvest around 2 tons of potatoes. The loan investment will help him generate around 250000Frw (about £203.51) per month after paying all expenses including loan. He is confident that he will be able to pay off the loan without difficulty.
