Ranilo Arda is a farmer who is focused in growing beautiful flowers in the village of Babag II in Cebu province. He was once working in the city but then decided to return home to focus in farming because he find it a good source of income to support his family. Living with him is his partner named Iris and their two daughters ages 9 and 3 years old. Ranilo aims to produce quality flowers so he could sell them for a higher price.

Ranilo owns a huge flower farm. What you see in the photos are all his. He cultivates the land owned by his father and the land estimated size is about 5,000 square meters. The land is not far from his house so he can easily access his farm. He now have 30 plots of wonder white flowers and 5 plots of BSU flowers. Each plot has a length between 33-39 meters. He employs five regular farmers who helps him in taking care of his plants. Everyday the workers work eight hours a day from 5 am in the morning until 11 am in the morning and then return in the afternoon around 3 pm to 6 pm in the evening. They are paid 200 pesos (about £3) a day with free am and pm snacks. His partner Iris also helps in the farm every time she has done the household chores.

Ranilo expect his first harvest last week of December until the month of February. During the harvest season he hires up to five temporary workers to help with the harvest. To finance his farming expenses, Ranilo has been accessing loans from his micro-finance organisation called Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative. He already repaid five previous loans and two of these loans was financed by Lendwithcare lenders. He availed a loan from Lendwithcare year 2017 and 2018 and successfully repaid this two loans.

Ranilo requested again for another loan from LWC in order to have additional funds for paying his regular workers and to buy additional farm inputs such as fertilizers and insecticides/pesticides to protect the growth of his plants and help produce quality flowers. Ranilo's flower business is doing fine because he makes sure to work diligently and with the help of his hired workers. He is also thankful for the loans that he sought that helped him to finance his business.

Ranilo promise to repay this loan over the period of twelve months in a lump sum repayment. Please see the repayment schedule below for more details.
