Abida Bibi supports her family financially by selling buffalo milk. She has been rearing one water buffalo for the last 10 years and earns £55 per month. Her husband owns four acre of land where he grows wheat and rice. In free time, her husband do labour work and he earns £60 per month. Abida has applied for a loan from our local microfinance partner Akhuwat, to enable her to purchase an additional buffalo. Having this additional buffalo will enable her to enhance her milk output and increase her earnings. This is vitally important in helping her family to become more financially stable and improve their standards of living.
