Emily Conde is a 47 year old business woman who manage one stall in the public market of Lutopan since year 2003. She is married to Jerome and they have two sons and one daughter. Her eldest graduated college with a course of Marine engineering and is ready to work in a shipping company this month. Her two other children are in grade 11 and 10. For the past years, Emily's income in running the stall greatly helped in dealing with their household needs and schooling of her children.
Emily rented one stall in the market and passersby can easily access her stall since it is found outside and facing the main road of Lutopan. For the past 16 years, she manage the business by herself. She have regular customers now who keep coming back at her stall to avail her products and she make sure to provide good customer service to them. Before she only sell wholesale and retail of rice, corn, sugar, monggo beans, salt and garlic but now she have more products to offer such as animal feeds, farm fertilisers, poultry eggs, charcoal and plastic bags. She was first funded by Lendwithcare lenders last February 2015 and repaid the loan without difficulty. Her stall is open everyday from 8 in the morning and closes at 6 in the evening. So basically she does everything in the stall for she did not want to hire a worker. If customers will buy one sack or more, he call motorcycle driver to help in lifting and give them tip. All of her products to sell are directly delivered at her stall. In a month, she can sold 100 sacks or more of her rice and corn. She earns 40 to 60 pesos (about £0.61 to 0.92) per sack in wholesale and even earn more if she sells it in per kilo basis. Having this business requires a large capital to sustain the demand of her growing customers. Since 2005, Emily has been a loyal member of the MFI, Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative, wherein she already repaid thirty-three previous loans. The loans had helped her to finance her business and make it grow to what it is now. She availed again another larger loan to pay the 50 sacks of rice and corn she ordered from her trusted supplier. She always maintain good volume of her stocks so she can meet the demand of her customers. Emily will continue to run her business and hoping to generate more income in the future by selling various products at the stall. She promise to repay the loan over the period of thirty months.
