ANA MARIA

Ana Maria Hinojosa Romero is 52 years old, married to Segundo who is 53 years old. Her husband works in the maintenance department at a private university in Trujillo. The couple have 3 children, only their son under 11 years lives with them and studies at their local state school. Their 2 oldest daughters are independent. Ana and her family live in their own homes, built of noble material, located in the district of La Esperanza, province of Trujillo, department of La Libertad, in Peru.

Many years ago, Ana rented an internet booth and photocopying services in the city centre but for some reason they had to move the business renting a place near a national school in the district of La Esperanza. After moving her business several times, she now has been running her stationery shop called ‘Librería – Bazar’ for eight years at home. When she places her supply orders her vendor brings the ordered supplies to her home.

According to Ana her sales can reach up to S/6000 soles monthly (around £ 1463) and her profit margin of 40%. She sells her stationery products in cash but some of her reliable customers are given credit. She works hard and her husband supports and helps her with her business in his spare time. They managed to educate both their daughters who are working now.

Ana is requesting a loan to use as a working capital, to invest in buying stationery items such as notebooks, pens, cardboard, etc. for her business. She will use a part of the money towards buying some household utensils such as cups, plates, glasses etc. Ana's dream is to make her business grow and plans to open another store in the future to improve her income and save up some money for the future. All her effort is for the benefit of her family to provide them a better quality of life.
