Loan description:
Mrs Thea vun Pov is 36 years old has worked as a farmer for over 10 years. She currently grows wet season rice on two hectares of land. From this plot of land she's able to harvest around 2.5 tonnes of rice per hectare. She normally sells her crops to a local merchant who buys the directly from her home.
In order to be able to produce more rice to sell she has applied for a 36 month loan so she can purchase another a plot of land of around 5,000 square metres. She'll also grow wet season rice on this plot of land but expects to be able to harvest a higher yield of two tonnes of rice (equivalent to 4 tonnes per hectare).
