Zimbabwe
Loan description:
Florence Mteta is a 38-year-old married mother of 4 children. Her husband works at a tobacco processing company. Florence and her family live in the suburb of Westgate in Harare, Zimbabwe. Florence owns a petrol station. Her business is located in Emerald Hill in Harare. Florence hires four fuel attendants and one other person, who is responsible for selling groceries in the convenience shop. Florence’s business is a registered company called Pepsheen Trading Private Limited. Florence restocks about 20,000 litres of petrol and 10,000 litres of diesel a week. She restocks her fuel from Zuva Petroleum. Florence also sells gas at the station and restocks twelve 48-kilogram gas cylinders every 3 days. Florence has instilled a high level of discipline in all her employees, so customer service at her petrol station is exceptionally excellent. Over the past few months there have been glitches with the fuel industries in Zimbabwe. There were reported cases of some filling stations running dry. Florence has successfully applied for this $4,000 loan so she can restock diesel and petrol in bulk to ensure that her petrol station will not be affected by these glitches that sometimes happen in the fuel industry.
Please note that Zimbabwe is at present going through a severe economic recession and that there is an additional risk that some of the loans might be delayed or defaulted. You can find more information here.
