Loan description:
Franklin Marcillo is 37 years old and lives in Ibarra. For the last two years he has worked as a baker’s assistant in the town of Atuntaqui. He lives with his parents, who he supports financially, and also covers their basic living costs.
Franklin has requested a loan of $1,000 to be repaid over 12 months. He wants to invest the money in improving the home where he and his parents live. He will buy sheets of zinc for the roof, porcelain tiles, and to pay for labour.
His aim is to improve his parents’ quality of life, as they are elderly. Due to climate change and weather, their home has been affected by damp and other damage that needs fixing. He hopes to soon be able to invest in his own business.
