Maria Theresa Vidal is a 37 year old married woman who has been working in the government for five years now. She has one child goes to school in Tunghaan, which is in the town of Minglanilla in Cebu province. Her husband, Enefer, is 38 years old and manages their water delivery business. The couple owns a passenger vehicle that roams the streets from Basak to Naga and back again. They earn 550 pesos (about £7.80) a day by renting out the vehicle. As well as this, Enefer also runs a water delivery business. He delivers a total of 40 gallons of water per week to seven different households. He earns more than 600 pesos (about £8.50) a week. He purchases the water by the gallon from his trusted water refilling station. He usually delivers at night since his vehicle is rented out for the whole day. He also have two automatic water machines in the public market of Minglanilla. Enefer wants to increase his deliveries to earn more income. That is why Maria Theresa decided to request this loan from Lendwithcare's microfinance partner, Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative. She will use the money to buy a second-hand vehicle to use for their water delivery business. Maria Theresa hopes their business will continue to grow in the future so she can provide a better standard of living for their child.
