Bosnia-Herzegovina
Loan description:
Zorica Dolijanovic is 36 years old and married with two young children. She lives with her family in the town of Bratunac in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her husband works as a construction labourer. In order to supplement her husband's income, which can be irregular depending upon available work, Zorica started growing and selling vegetables, making use of her land. During the spring, summer and autumn months she grows maize, potatoes, onions, and beans which she sells in the local market. Her extra income has proved invaluable for the family. Zorica has already received and repaid two loans. She applied for her third when she wanted to buy seeds, buy compost and prepare the soil (the photograph shows Zorica some weeks ago during better weather ready to harvest her autumn crops).
