Loan description:
This is a group loan for the Titamande group who are based in Lundazi district of Eastern Zambia. The group has a membership of 19 women aged between 22 and 61. Some members of this group are married, some divorced while others are single. They have children in school and they also look after school going orphans. In order for them to be financially independent, these women started different small scale businesses selling products like mealie-meal, rice, beans, buckets, blankets, groceries and many more items. The group has repaid successfully five previous loans and now requesting for the sixth loan which will be used as top up capital on their businesses.
Ontiness Ngwira is a member of this group. She is 39 years old married and has three children who are in school. She runs a market grocery stall selling washing soap, bathing soap, batteries and salt. She is requesting for this loan to order more stocks of cooking oil, soft drinks and soap. Currently Ontiness is helped to run the business by her relatives but hopes to employ someone in future. She started her business in order to be able to fend for her family.
