Loan description:
Margerese Bulabog is 34 years old and married with two children who are aged 15 and 6. Her eldest child is currently studying at high school while her youngest child is at elementary school. Margerese is married to Rino, who is 40 years old and a local police officer. They live in Bagacay, which is in the town of Clavel, Surigao del Norte province. Margerese helps provide for the daily food and educational needs of their children by managing a small clothes shop in the nearby neighbourhood of Tayaga. Margerese was once a full-time housewife, but after her husband was able to save a little money from his job, the couple decided to establish the clothes shop and make Margerese responsible for its overall operations. For the past three years, the business has been offering a wide variety of durable and affordable products including blouses, skirts, shirts, shorts and jeans. As well as selling clothes, Margerese also sells bags and footwear. She displays her products all around the shop in order for her customers to freely choose their desired item. She also has a number of shelves and hangers to present her wonderful stock. Margerese is also engaged in a direct selling business where she offers other goods like perfumes, accessories and beauty products. She has been a member of the microfinance organisation, Surigao Economic Development, for two years. She has been granted a loan amounting to 25,000 Philippine pesos so she can acquire more affordable and attractive clothes and footwear. She will save her income for the studies of her beloved children. Margerese dreams of converting her store into a large boutique someday. She is willing to repay the loan over twelve months.
