Fatima Mahameed is a widow from near the city of Jenin. She is married and lives with her a son and daughter. In fact, Fatima has five sons and two daughters altogether but the others are married and live separately. Fatima used to work in other retail clothes stores but with support from her children she established her own clothes shop in order to provide her own independent source of income after her husband's death. Since the business is relatively newly established, Fatima requested a loan in order to buy new items to sell, buy shelving and make some other physical improvements. One of her aims is to earn enough so that she can pay for her youngest daughter's college expenses. It is a relatively long-term loan repayable over three years.
