Eugene Pasaylo is a 61 year old fisherman. He is single and lives with her siblings in Abucayan which is in Balamban town in Cebu
province. He had been working in a construction site for more than ten years before deciding to became a fisherman. Two of her siblings are actually in fishing business that is why they encourage Eugene to start his own. When he set sails, he is accompanied
by one or two people to help him catch fish and other seafood products. He owns one pump boat that is actually his first boat.
Most of his caught fishes are sold to local fishmongers who visit their place. Eugenio's sister is also a fishmonger and she supplies from him. Eugene is financially supported by the microfinance organisation, Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative. He has been a member for eight years and repaid eleven past loans. He requested another loan recently, to have funds to purchase new fishing nets that will cost more than $500. He will also purchase other fishing tools and equipment to keep his business going. Eugene will to continue his work so he could repay his debt and support his needs. He will repay his loan in 18 months term.
