Roel Cabellon is a 40 year old man with two children. His second child finished her college education and is now working. He lives with Marita who sells food. Roel has been working as a farmer for the last twenty years. He was able to raise his children and send them to school from the income he earned in his farm. Now, he cultivates a total of 27 plots of land with 15 meters each and employs two permanent workers that take care of his plants. He grows flower bearing plants like jaguar, golden white, golden yellow and other flowers. He expects to harvest these flowers this coming April and May. Roel joined a micro-finance organisation last May 2015 in order to avail a loan to support his farming activities. He already availed three past loans and repaid them all just fine. He applied for another loan to purchase fertilizers, crop protection products and plant vitamins. He will also use a part of the money to pay the extra labourers he will hire in the future. Roel continue his hard-work for his family to give them a better way of living. He will repay the loan in twelve months.
