Mr. Dario Velasquez and his wife Charina are both farmers. They have been into farming business for the last sixteen years. At present
he grows cabbages in a total land size of 3/4 hectare. Cabbages can be harvested from 80 to 90 days. Most of her harvested products are being sold to local traders who visits his home. To ensure good harvest and maximize his income, he availed a loan from his MFI partner, Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative. He will use the money to buy more seeds,
commercial fertilizers, pesticides and to cover the labouring cost all through out the harvesting season. He employs one male who will help him in the farm. Generally, he will hire more people during harvesting time and pay them around $5 a day. He always pray that his crops can sustain the bad weather that comes and go in their area. The loan will be paid in 6 months.
