Felicitas Bansiloy is a 55 year old married woman with 10 adult children. Nine of her children are already married. She and her husband are engaged in fishing business. They have been in this business for the last forty years. Her husband goes fishing everyday and his caught fishes are sold to the market by Felicitas. Sometimes luck isn't in their side. Felicitas applied a loan from the micro-finance organisation named Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative. In order to have a working capital to buy fish from the port and sold it in the market to generate more income. She has been a member of the institution since 2006 and availed several loan cycles. She also opened a small sari-sari store in front of her house near the beach wherein tourist often visits. In this way, she could increase her daily income in order to support the needs of her family. She applied for a loan in order to buy a new fishing nets for her husband's fishing activities. She will also use a portion of the loan to restock her store. Felicitas will repay the loan over 24 months.
