Loan description:
Julienne Mukakaruta needs a loan to buy materials for her wedding decoration and dressing business. She lives with her 3 children. Her husband passed away three years ago. She chose to start these activities because she is the sole bread winner of her family and she wanted to continue sending her children to school. All of them are in secondary school. She is happy that she has been able to create a way of providing food for her family and paying the school fees for her children because in the beginning it was not very easy. She has also created jobs for 3 permanent members of staff and 17 temporary employees. With this loan, she hopes she can create another 15 jobs. She will also use this loan to buy materials, which she uses in her wedding decoration and dressing business like wedding dresses, traditional Rwandan wedding clothing for women and men, men’s suits, tents, plastic chairs, table covers... Normally, she makes a monthly income of $1200 after paying the expenses. In the future, she would like to get a home for her family because they currently rent where they live now. She would also like to pay the school fees for her children to go to university.
