Loan description:
Prisciliano Ignalig is a 60 year old married man with 9 children. Most of his children already have their own families and some have their own respective jobs or run small businesses. Prisciliano lives together with his 58 year old wife named Leonides in Pongtud, in the town of Alegria in Surigao province. Prisciliano manages a sari-sari store business which he started 3 years ago in an area adjacent to their house. It provides them a stable source of daily income. Through the store, his neighbours can easily access all kinds of basic necessities including canned goods, snacks, drinks and hygienic products. He prefers to buy larger volumes of products at the market and sells them at a small mark-up price. The loan from by the microfinance organisation, Surigao Economic Development Foundation will be used for the purpose of acquiring addtional stocks. He plans to save a part of his income in order to apply decent paint to his store to make it more attractive. Prisciliano is very grateful that he was blessed with a hardworking wife who is helping him manage the business. He dreams of supporting his children and grandchildren in simple ways. He is willing to return the loan over a short period of twelve months. Prisciliano has been a member of the institution for 2 years and has already received 4 loans.
