Loan description:
Rosa Victoria Quizhpe Benítez is 63 years old and married with seven adult children most of whom are now married. Doña Rosa has worked on a market food stall for the past 45 years. She sells a range of spices and basic foods. Her husband used to work as a labourer in the Malca Sugar factory but he has now retired. They bought a plot of land and built their own home. They are also proud of the fact that all of their children completed their basic education, the youngest two are still at university though and Rosa helps them meet their course fees. Rosa sought a ten month loan in order to use as working capital - buying extra stock as and when necessary. This is better than taking the items on credit from the wholesalers as they tend to charge more and also give the least fresh items.
