Loan description:
Renato Canete is 40 years old and married with two children aged 17 and 9 who attend secondary and primary school respectively. He lives with his wife, Fedilen, and children in the rural area of Dumagoc, in the town of Pagadian in Zamboanga Del Sur province. His wife works as a teacher. Renato has a small store that sells general household goods and basic foods such as bread and rice as well as soft drinks and juices. Some of the food is enclosed in plastic bags, hung up to keep it clean, placed in stainless circular baskets and divided according to quality and price. Renato also built in a window for the store so that he only needs to drop the cover of the window whenever he needs to close the business instead of having to put out all the items again the next day. He has also bought a small refrigerator where he stores his frozen products. He has sought a loan in order to buy extra stock, particularly rice, for his store. After meeting household expenses, Renato's priority it to pay for his children to finish their education. He intends to repay the loan over a period of six months.
