Shahida Bibi is 55 years old, married and lives in a locality of Kahna Nou. She has two sons and two daughters. Three of her children are in education. Her husband works in a factory and h earns 13,000 rupees per month. Shahida was always tensed with the low income of her husband so she took step and started a small business from her home. She extracts yarn from old sweaters. She then sells this thick yarn to cloth weavers. She earns 6,000 rupees (around $58) per month. It is still very hard to manage her household expenses but her income is a bit better now than it was before. Shahida applied for a loan to visit market to purchase more sweaters in a larger quantity than usual. She will pay back the loan in 17 instalments.
