Zareena Bibi is an inhabitant of a local area of Lahore called Datangar. She is 45 years old and married with no child yet. Her husband is the main earning source of his family. For the last many years her husband has been working as a welder. He makes traditional iron beds locally called ‘Charpai’. These types of bed are very common, and normally every household has this bed in house. Their customers are people from the local area. Her husband manages to earn 15,000 rupees per month. He is running his business from a rented place and he pays rent of 4,000 rupees. They are hardly managing their household expenses. Zareena has applied for a loan so that her husband can buy iron sheets, welding rods and iron rods from a hardware shop. Zareena is applying for the loan on behalf of her husband since he does not have an ID card and one is required to access a loan. They will use the profits from his business to pay off the loan.
