Sugarcane crop is often the main source of income for farmers living in Man Duc commune. Mrs. Bui Thi Mai and her husband are sugarcane growers like other in the village. They own a field of 4500 square meters and take care of their sugarcane plantation on it. Sometimes they raise livestock like ducks or chickens. What they raise depends on their local region’s demand.
Mrs. Mai wants to borrow a loan to start a new sugarcane crop. The harvest day for her current crop is just a few weeks away. The loan will be used to buy young sugarcane trees and fertilizer for this year’s crop.
