Bosnia-Herzegovina
Loan description:
Ramiza Ahmetovic is 43 years old and a widow. She lives with her son and father-in-law in the small town of Zivinice near the city Tuzla in northern Bosnia. They were exiled from the town of Srebrenica. Her husband was killed during the Bosnian war. She found shelter together with her son and father-in-law in Zivinice. At the beginning it was very hard but she managed to organise her life and start all over once again. There were few opportunities available to her and she decided to raise livestock. She has a cow and some sheep. She produces milk, homemade cheese, cream and wool. She has a lot of customers and permanent orders. Now she is planning to grow some vegetables as well. She has received two loans from the microcredit foundation 'Women for Women International' already. She has applied for another loan now in order to buy seeds and prepare land for sowing. She intends to repay the loan over ten months.
Loan added: 31 March 2012
