Perveen Bibi is 29 years old and married. She has a son. Her husband sell fish and earns about 9,000 rupees (around $87) a month. They live in an area called 'Muhala Doshera Ground' in the city of Kasur. Her son is not of school age yet. Perveen stitches shawls used in winter and sell them to people in her neighborhood and in Kasur market. She buys all her fabric and sewing supplements from 'Kasur' and earns approximately 7,000 rupees per month. She has been running this business for the last nine years. Their household expenses are often high so they have to spend all of their earnings in managing their household expenses. Perveen wants to buy clothes in bulk to get a discount. She wants a loan to do a bulk purchase to get the discount. The bulk purchase will increase her profit margin. She will payback the loan in 17 installments.
