Loan description:
Chovon Chhoun is 47 years old and married to Rath Heang. Presently they have five children are aged between 10 and 22 years old only the youngest two are attending local school as the other have their own jobs. They live in Boeng Cheng village, Sning commune, Banon district, Battambang province. Chovon and his wife are farmers and at a moment farm one and a half hectares and the yield provides them about two and a half tons per hectare. They only keep one and a half tons for their family consumption and the remainder is sold to local trader. After the rice harvest they also start to grow some sesame on the same land and they need to wait for three months before they can harvest the sesame to sell to at local trader. They have borrowed a loan in order to buy good quality of sesame seed and pay for ploughing costs and they expect to pay back the loan in five months.
