Loan description:
Mol Sorm is 39 years old and married to Ve Youern. Mol and Ve have two children who are aged 6 and 14 years old and are both still studying at school. They live in O pongmon village, which is in Banon district, Battambang province. Mol and Ve are farmers and farm one hectare of land. This year the yield gave them approximately three and a half tonnes and they stocked one tonne of this for their own consumption. They generally sell the remainder to a trader. To earn extra income for the household, Mol and Ve also have another business raising pigs from their home and they have been doing this for the past ten years. As their working capital is currently limited, they have asked for a loan to help them build a new pigsty, to buy some piglets and some commercial feed. They will repay the loan over eight months.
