Loan description:
Nara Rin is 28 years old and single. Presently she lives with her parents in Andoung Trach village, which is in Sangke district, Battambang province. Nara has been raising pigs from her home for the past three years. At the moment, Nara has seven pigs and over the course of four months all of these will be ready to sell to the market. She feeds her pigs using commercial feed mixed with rice bran. Aside from raising pigs, Nara also buys and sells rice in her neighborhood and has been doing this for the past five years. When she is able to buy large amounts of rice she uses her motorbike to deliver the rice to a local miller. As her source of funds is currently limited, she has applied for a loan in order to buy some commercial feed. Nara will use the remainder of her loan to buy rice from villagers in her neighbourhood to sell to millers. She expects to pay the loan back over six months. Nara hopes to increase the number of pigs she has in the future.
