Loan description:

Cecilia Aviso is 49 years old and married with two daughters aged 17 and 6 respectively. The eldest is currently studying in college while the youngest is in pre-school. She also has two other dependents who are her nieces who are both in college as well. Cecilia lives in the town of Pinamungajan in Cebu province. Her husband, Celerino, is a local businessman. She runs a market stall in the town's public market. She sells mainly vegetables, including peppers, cabbages, sweet potatoes and chillies. She also offers products such as vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce and shrimp paste. She has had the business for about nine years. She sought a loan from the microfinance organisation Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative in order to purchase more stock for her stall. She aims eventually to manage a much larger stall in the market. She intends to repay the loan over just three months.
