Loan description:
Sarong Phal is 52 years old and married with seven children. Her children are aged between 31 and 15 years old and her five elder children are all married and live separately. Sarong and her family live in Raing Krorl village, which is in Sangke district, Battambang province. Sarong and her husband, Chhoueng Chhen, are farmers and farm two hectares of rice paddy. The yield provides them with about two and a half tonnes per hectare and they stock one and a half tonnes for their basic needs. To help Sarong and her husband successfully grow rice every year they have applied for a loan in order to buy commercial fertiliser and insecticide, diesel for their hand tractor and help cover the cost of cultivating the rice.
